... kicks off today with a spectacular line-up. Top of the bill of the first day of the 6th edition of indonesia's biggest music festival is without doubt american superstar John Legend. Everybody who could manage to get a ticket for his 'special show' at primetime 8:30pm will start queuing excited at least one hour before showdown. They are more treats today:
Meanwhile Java Jazz veteran HARVEY MASON invites to his 'Tribute to Michael Jackson Show', RON KING and his Big Band is going to feature ERIC BENET. BOB JAMES and ROY HARGROVE will hit the stage as well as CHIELI MINUCCI & SPECIAL EFX, IVAN LINS and NATHAN HAINES . Next to the international artists there are many indonesian artists as well, without them the festival wouldnt be what it is today. Too many to list them all here, regular guests on the jakarta jazz stages and also new, hip and ambitious projects. It all promises to be a very diverse festival, covering many styles of jazz and more.
