In May the monthly Jazz concert at Salihara features 'Philosophy'. A new trio formed by Bintang Indrianto (bass), Arif Setiadi (saxophone), and Gerry Herb (drums). The three members of this jazz ensemble have taken the title of their debut album, “Philosophy” as the name of their group. Working with the principle that the three musicians can play in a free yet unified and equal way, Philosophy blends diverse music and seasons it with the musical touches of each. Three years ago they appeared in the jazz event, Jazz Kemerdekaan Kemerdekaan Jazz (Jazz for Freedom, Freedom of Jazz) at Gedung Kesenian Jakarta. After that they played in the performance Fusion Trio Explosion at Graha Bhakti Budaya, and the Ngayogjazz in Yogyakarta last year.
Come see their debut appearance at Teater Salihara as part of the Salihara Monthly Jazz Concert.
