EP Jazz has grown into a solid name in Jakarta's jazzscene. Already three years bar/restaurant/livemusic- joint 'Eastern Promise' hosts Jakarta's leading jazz jamsession. From 8pm to midnight every wednesday night EP Jazz attracts jazzfans as well as wellknown jazzcats and upcoming talent.
Enough reason to celebrate the 3nd anniversary in style. On wednesday 30th of june EP Jazz invites all jazzadmirers to make it a real birthday party. Special guest Doni Koeswinarno opens the night. The leader of Pitoelas Big Band comes with his own band followed by the Edy Syakroni Quartet. After that, Jakarta's finest jazzmusicans are expected to hit the stage for a Mega Jam Night until late...
But it is not only an anniversary but a also a farewell party. It will be the last session hosted by the incredible saxophonist, pianist, composer Tala Faral, who is leaving to India. Living in Jakarta for three years and hosting the EP Rabu Jazznight for the last 12 month, he inspired many young musicians and fascinated young and old jazzfans every week. The last chance to see him performing in Jakarta before he leaves.
